Refusing to honor Stephen Colbert turns Jedi to The Dark Side
Edited on Mon Apr-23-07 09:06 AM by IanDB1
So, I was playing Star Wars Galaxy, and chatting with the mayor of my town on Rori.

He wanted ideas on how to get more people to join the town.

I suggested that we change the name of the town to "Stephen Colbert," and then it might get mentioned in the "Who's Honoring Me Now" segment of The Colbert Report.

But the mayor dude said that doing this would get Star Wars Galaxy sued for using Colbert's name without permission.

I pointed out that Stephen Colbert said he WANTS people to name things after him. Also, in a galaxy far, far away, I work in Marketing and Public Relations, and I can assure him that it's not plagiarism to name a town Stephen Colbert. I could also put together a whole communications plan based on this to promote the town.

Well, somehow this made the mayor dude angry.

He stormed off in a huff, threatening to disband the town.

Instead, he re-named it "Chuck Norris Town," joined The Dark Side, and became a Sith.

In any case, sometime after June 5th, if anyone wants to help, I'd like to establish a town in the Chilastra server called Stephen Colbert (or find a mayor willing to re-name an existing town to honor Stephen Colbert.)

3. Chuck Norris Town??? Where all the Texas Rangering happens?
I mean have you ever seen the "Walker, Texas Ranger "show??? It's the worst (and I am being objective) pile of illogical garbage to ever grace the small screen since "Cop Rock". Comparitively it make the A-Team look like "The Merchant of Venice". The action scenes are so hokey that some of the Sci-Fi Originals on the Sci-Fi channel look ground breaking.

Why would you name ANYTHING after Chuck Norris after seeing that show even once???

4. Did you realize Chuck Norris is an extreme right-wing "Christian" fundamentalist?
My guess is the person named it Chuck Norris town based on his ideology.

5. It certainly explains the show being written to the level of a (poorly natured) three-year-old

Obviously, this guy follows the (poorly natured) three-year-old-child-philosophy.

On edit, yes I'm also aware of the piss poor films he's made in the name of fundie Jebus.

7. Do you remember when Adam Corola ran into Chuck Norris while filming The Man Show?
They were in a hardware store doing a bit, and they ran into Chuck Norris.

Adam says to Norris, "You know who you look like? You look like Chuck Norris... if instead of getting into Karate and stuff he had gotten into drugs."

8. Well, the mayor pulled the plug on the town.
Sometime after June 5th, I'm thinking of starting Stephen Colbert City on my own.

6. No, it's because Chuck Norris was beating Stephen Colbert to have that bridge named after him...
for a while, anyway.

And then Stephen Colbert pulled ahead with something like 6 Billion votes.
