damn release dates!!!
Why do all these great games have to come out at the same time and tempt me to empty my account? why!??

I have Assassin's Creed on reserve, but the Orange Box is calling my name with it's sweet siren call of Portal. Plus I've rented Overlord and have become hooked to it (Minions rule!), so that's moved to my list of "to purchase" games.

then there's Call of Duty: 4, Mass Effect, Lego Star Wars Complete Saga, etc.

I try not to buy too many games all in the same time period, and I've already picked up Bioshock and HALO 3 in the last couple of months. I've pretty much run out of games to trade in, too (although I don't really ever play Gears of War anymore...hmmm). Oh well, I guess my patience will be tested.

1. How do you compare Bioshock and Halo 3?
I've been waiting for a chance to ask someone who has played both. How do they stack up side-by-side?

(I've beaten Bioshock, but I haven't played Halo 3, PC gamer that I am...)

2. I talked to an X-Box fan boy recently
He swore it was the second freaking coming. I mentioned that I heard the 9 hour single player is too short and he countered that the multiplayer is the shiznat. All very nice but I like playing with myself...um that came out the wrong way...

He mentioned that most folks have a problem with the wrap-up of the story.

I still maintain that many X-Box gamers wouldn't know a good game if it bit them in the arse and called them Nancy while simultaneously banging their mom with a pair of nunchucks...damn you KGF now you got me talking like Yahtzee...

4. YOU! You're the one who did this by introducing me to that evil man's reviews!
And I'm hardly regretting it!

5. You know, they are almost not comparable
Since the big allure to HALO is the multiplayer, to the detriment of the campaign.

The campaign, while it has its moments and definitely features some gorgeous music, is pretty much a rehash of the first two games, except with more weapons and vehicles. The multiplayer is really where it shines. If you love multiplayer, then Halo delivers. It's really well balanced, with no real spawn camping and fun game types, from straight up slayer deathmatches to objective games that can be super challenging - in some maps, if you aren't on a team that communicates and has some understanding of tactics ( and the other team does), you're doomed. I'm not that much into multiplayer, but the player skill matching feature is really good - I don't find myself too outclassed very often, although it does happen.

Bioshock, I thought was a better game all around, in terms of gameplay, plot, graphics, and voice acting. If I had to give away one of the two games, I would give away Halo over Bioshock.
