1. Watching Sony and MS duke it out really makes me realize how clever Nintendo has been.
Most people, myself included, thought they were dead in the home console market after the Gamecube, and consensus was that would focus mainly on the DS and handhelds. Instead, they bust out the Wii, which has hooked a ton of people, and offers things the big two don't. They are a wily old gaming company who knows how to stay a factor in the console wars, and you got to respect that.

3. If you can't easily get a majority in the market...change your market.
Brilliant.

2. Ehhhehh. Heheh. heheheh.
OP:

"This is really an effort to pass the cost reduction we are able to achieve through engineering and manufacturing onto consumers," said David Dennis, Microsoft Xbox 360 product manager.

Game Informer: Hehehhhehehh.

The Xbox 360 breaks five times as often as its closest failure-prone competitor, the PlayStation 3, a print edition-only Game Informer survey found.

The poorly manufactured, red ring of death-prone console has a 54.2 percent failure rate, compared to 10.6 percent for the PS3 and the Wii's 6.8 percent.

I can't stop giggling.

4. I've had two die on me. One covered under warranty.
The other just sits in it's coffin in the closet. Still, it's got the best games. That's why the article also mentioned only 3.8% said they wouldn't buy another one.
