Assassin's Creed II - just got it
and can't stop playing it. Wow. This is about 2,376 times better than AC1.

I saw a rumour on the internets that ACIII is going to be set in medieval Japan. Ninja!

1. Yeah, it's a vast improvement on the original
and it really builds on what you learn at the very end of the first game. Very nicely tied together.

I can tell by the time I get around to Mass Effect 2/ Bioshock 2 - I'll be able to find those games used no problem!

(meaning that it will be months until I get to them!)

3. Just about everything
Assassin's Creed II is far more polished than the original in pretty much every way, but I think the biggest improvement is in the missions. The first game was really repetitive, but the second has far more interesting and varied missions. I didn't care for the first Assassin's Creed, but the second was one of the best games released in 2009.

6. also
there's the whole economy thing, with buying upgrades to weapons and armor. The only thing I miss is the ability to have throwing knives/dagger on a hot key (left on the D pad) instead of having to R2 it all the time. But the medicine is a nice touch. I rarely have to use medicine, though. I can usually evade long enough to get to a doctor.

I'm having trouble right now with extra content. I got the mission you can get from Uplay, which was cool, but I have a slip here from Gamestop telling me to go into the "extras" part of the menu to download three new levels, and there is no "extras" in any menu I can find.

4. The rumor I heard is that Assassin's Creed III will be set during the American Revolution
I guess we will have to see when it is announced, but I would be happy with either Japan or the American Revolution.

They have announced that there is another Assassin's Creed game coming out before III however which will feature online multi-player. Personally I am skeptical of the idea, Assassin's Creed just does not seem like the type of game that would work well with multiplayer but who knows maybe they have a creative way to make it work.

7. a question about the bonus Templar levels
the game I bought from Gamestop came with a code for one level. I read on the interwebs that there are actually three. Is there any way to get the other two without trading in this game for some cockamamie special edition?
