Alan Wake
Has anyone else played it? I'm in the middle of it now, and while it's a well-paced, interesting story, it's not exactly a difficult game. I almost get the idea that they're going for an interactive movie, more than a traditional game

1. Sounds right up my alley, then.
I prefer a good story line over a really challenging game any day. Alan Wake is in my Gamefly queue, but since I'm playing Dragon Age now and Bioshock 2 is next, may be a while before I get to it...

2. I'm trying to beat it in a week
the GameStop guy said there was MAYBE 6 total hours of gameplay. I'm finding a bit more than that, but it does seem to be a very short game

4. Take your time...
I just finished it as well. If you're playing Bioshock 2 next, Alan Wake is going to be a massive letdown afterwards. The Bioshock 2 storyline is better; the Alan Wake story is mediocre at best and gameplay itself is pretty terrible. I won't say in what ways because I hate spoilers. I finished Bioshock 2 a few months ago, and it lives up to the hype completely.

5. I didn't like Bioshock 2
I much preferred the story in the first one.

3. Just beat this
Well, I beat the main game and the first chapter of DLC. It looks like there's one more chapter of DLC... if the story doesn't resolve some things by the end of that, there BETTER be a frakking sequel.

Fantastic game, though, all around. Not much replay value, though. It's one of those games where you can't get yourself interested in getting the achievements for beating it on the hardest dictionary. Honestly, I advise putting it on the easiest setting, and just playing through it for the story alone.
