Bioshock: Infinite (gameplay video)
I very much enjoyed Bioshock but for some reason I wasn't that interested in the sequel -- probably a combination of the not-so-awesome reviews and the feeling that I'd already "done" Rapture. So I never played Bioshock 2.

This, on the other hand...

Watch it and weep. I am now officially excited.

2. Bioshock 2 sucked
IMHO, at least. I just didn't care about the story, and didn't finish it. But this looks AWESOME. I read a piece on it in Game Informer, and man...

where they discuss the setting and the American Exceptionalism angle.

7. I would delve deeper personally and cite nationalism to boot.

The specific example of American exceptionalism is merely one particular strains symptoms.

All nationalism is merely more digestible bigotry under an adorable coating of 'patriotism'. Anything that makes people proud when they have no concrete and personal accomplishment to be proud of foots that particular bill. Be it American Exceptionalism, Japanese Divine Imperial Heritage, Soviet Techno-Propaganda, or Nazi false Aryan history/social eugenics. Frankly, the notion of taking down American Exceptionalism is a well needed point though. VERY WELL NEEDED.

Interesting article though... Brings back into scope the coming of age within the media as moving towards the definition of an art form in conveyance of ideas.

5. As someone posting at IGN said
"Sweet Merciful God!"

:wow:

This looks to wow me the way the original did. Love the instant thunderstorm and the mass crow summoning.

Want.
