Disabled People Needed For Protests

We desperately need obviously crippled people demonstrating in front of every Social Security office in the land. The Time is right and it WILL WORK (even though we no longer can).
Millions of disabled people are receiving these letters as we speak.
Getting their benefits chopped as the "Haves and Have Mores" are getting more tax cuts and thousands are getting killed and maimed in Iraq. Hundreds of soldiers coming home maimed every day. Our ranks are growing.
There are many of us and our images will make the news and make a real impact.
We are the ones who can't work and therefore have the time to protest.

How do we organize?

1. Go to each state forum and contact fellow disabled DUers
Set up a place to meet.

And do the protests in the rich neighborhoods. They spend their money to ISOLATE themselves from people like us,so mess that little line in the sand up..Don't bother with the statehouse that does not have toi care, the statehouse works through money interests not for real people. If you want to do the statehouse do it,but I think the sidewalks of exclusive neighborhoods will make the most impact. The juxtaposition of a poor guy in a wheelchair asking for food among huge luxury homes will be the cognitive dissonance and dose of economic inequality reality people need to see to shock them out of their comfort zones..In these fancy neighborhoods stay in the public parts of it like sidewalks and little doo dad parks..just walk or roll up and down the road with signs saying stuff like.. why should I starve so you can be so comfortable? No need for yelling..

Call the media to be there.. Go when the rich are likely to be outside to see you and tweak.

Protest at a golf course or a any other richy boy club.

Expect arrests for this..Even if you are not disturbing the peace or causing any problems...Do the limp inconvenience thing if arrested. If a cop hits anyone GET IT ON CAMERA and pass the film around different people or hide it and get it out fast

Video tape and take pictures of the whole protest and put it all on DU and other sites send it to Michael Moore Get it sent around everywhere.Let the media interview you.And control the conversation from the start.

3. I still haven't seen the letter. What letters are you talking about
Cutting benefits, when, and how much. Fill me in on the specifics. I can't protest an issue without knowing it.
