managed to trade a few things for a laptop
got enough for a wireless card
Time for some wardriving

Don't know where I'll sleep tommorrow
(just never in a shelter)
But, a home I always have
I belong to DU

I'm sitting in a bakery that has a public wireless network. Just installed and configured my new wireless card. As you can see, it's working just fine. I also have a 300 watt inverter to power the laptop in the car.
So far, I haven't had to sleep on the carseat. Have had invites to sleep inside others homes.
Yeah, this is doable.very doable.
My son will be here the end of next week to get his sailboat that I have been holding while he's been in college. But, after that, ( after the first when I get my next (short) SSI check, I'm heading to VA to stay with friends a while and try to find a Dr. who accepts medicaid patients and also does pain managment. Either is hard, both could be very hard.
I'll have a month before my supply of fentanyl patches runs out and I must find a Dr., Come back here or check into a hospital and go through withdrawal.I just hope that I can find a new Dr as the other two options are not very appealing.
Well, gotta head up to the SS office and see if they have my file up here yet.

SS is depositing $7000 in my checking acct tonight
and $11000 tommorrow night!

I am helping a neighbor of mine run her bar/hotel. It is an old fashioned Hotel. i.e. 12 rooms sharing 4 baths. $20 a night, $250 per month. There is two "Break Rooms" with Sinks, Microwaves, TVs and Refrigerators and I can arrange for you to use the washer and Dryer in the basement (Our long term plan is to have coin operated washer and dryers installed but we don't have the money right now). Each room has Cable and a bed (I plan to get some furniture in the rooms whenever I can, but again long term plan).

I hope to open the bar soon, but it is closed at the present time do to lack of funds to open it up. The hotel has been a drain on my Income, but it is open for anyone who wants a room. The windows need to be replaced (A long term project) but the place is warm in the winter and cool in the summer (No A/C, but the ceiling fans keep the Rooms cool even on the hottest days so far this year.

I got my SSI arrearage. After I paid the lawyer and all of the bills, I bought a 28 foot sailboat on EBAY for $2500 and am renting dockspace including utilities and Shower and laundry facilities for $140 a month on the coast of Virginia.
It's the best way I could think of to live on $579 a month SSI benefits without giving my whole check to some repug slumlord for a roach infested dumpy apt in a high crime area.
And I absolutely love seafood!
A 30 year dream comes true on the cheap, and I have means to escape when the Bushies declare marshal law.
Still trying to arrange full time internet though. I'll be back here solid when I do
