EVIL DEAD II
I know that no one ever says one word, or more than one word about any of the films laundry listed by parroting the tcm schedule.
I get my tv listing online, and I can record online or from the tv.
If I were to hear some words, like this was a good film because, and then some summary, then maybe I could have an idea that I may watch something from the laundry list.
Otherwise, I guess I am just a total idiot and at a total loss why this forum should consist of nothing, absolutely nothing but reprinting the tcm schedule.
Anyway, getting to the point, other than I cannot understand (and I have a doctoral degree from a university of 'higher?' learning) why no one can make any commentary about any films here. The point being that channel surfing I came upon Evil Dead II last night.
!!
Gruesome. Sinister. B category. I had totally forgotten about the world of drive in movies. And TCSM and all that.
The color, lighting, and special effects were rather good. Rather advanced for 1987? The acting, hokey and b category.
The truth is, I am no film fan.
I see as little as possible.
But I have to give credit to the dementia manifested in EDII.
The story was a fair idea. Translation of a copy of the 'Book of the Dead' and recital of the words, thus summoning the ... Evil Dead.
Evocation of Night of the Living Dead, but good color, and many a sinister twist.
Some fun. But I didn't get any nightmares from it.
