Alternative Infrastructure blog (and question on netiquette)
I recently made a two post blog that is basically a list of links on ways people are building a society underneath the painted glass that is disguised as government in this country.

http://alterinfra.blogspot.com/

I have noticed ways people have almost completely been meeting their own needs while "starving the beast" (great thread title whoever thought it up) while others have been working successfully on the state level to meet other ones (health care in Maine, gay marriage in Massachusetts etc.)

Anywho, I was wondering if anyone had another list of links or knew of any good sites I could add to the list.

Also, I wonder about the netiquette of linking in a blog of this sort? It's just a rather insignificant little blog, and poeple link to sites without asking all the time, so should I bother asking people about listing them in this blog?

That would make compilling links a headache.

Okay, thanks to whoever bought me a star, and love to everyones:)Gorbal

1. Well, I think it's OK to link to people without asking,
but people also do like to know who links to them. If you get the chance to let them know, as kind of a courtesy, I would, but I wouldn't sweat it.

2. Thanks- I'll send them all e-mails this week
It's hard to suss the difference sometmes between sharing links and sharing A LOT of links organized by category.

I really think it is so exciting what people are doing. If you take into perspective what is going on- everything from alternative healthcare to alternative fuel to alternative food-gathering, you realize how little you really have to rely on the negative forces in our economy if you try hard enough. What a beautiful world we can build from the ground up while the rest of the country is distracted by, "American Idol".
