Boycott Kleenex
From Greenpeace:

And the gold medal goes to... Kleenex! With a new world record for fastest forest destruction, Kimberly-Clark, maker of Kleenex, is the world champion of forest destruction, making four million tons of tissue products – like Kleenex facial tissue and Cottonelle toilet paper - from clearcut ancient forests every year.

Kleenex sponsored this year’s Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy, promoting the company’s "Kleenex Moments" ad campaign. Well, it takes 90 years to grow a box of Kleenex, and just a moment to throw one away, so I suppose I can’t accuse them of false advertising.

2. What Can We Do When Medical Facilities Have Kleenex brand?
Just this week, two doctors I went to(one with lots of sinus patients) had ONLY kleenex brand and the x-ray dept also harbored "former trees of the most devasted kind) brand. How can we encourage hospitals and doctors offices to go green? When things cost more the patients end up paying so they will defend their choice. Unless they think green it will be difficult to change their ways but if we can change their ways to more friendly brands it would truly help. Obviously in health facilities they can't do what we can do at home, like using soft cloth to pamper those nostrils.
