Thinking about one in the near future to suplement my 1973 US made Harmony/Stella acoustic.

Thanks

1. I have a 6 string Ovation, and I've played a few 12-strings....
Overall, I do like my 6-string (it's a 1778T Elite model). The only real complaint I have about Ovations in general is the trouble I have in playing them standing up. Because of the rounded back and the way I hold it, the guitar keeps tipping strings-upward, which is really irritating. So, I tend to play it seated on a stool most of the time.

Of all of the Ovations I've played (including the 12's), they seem to be consistently good guitars.

2. Thanks. I'm thinking more of a solid body 12 now.....
but still thinking only - money is limited.

3. I have a Rickenbacker 330-12 and really enjoy.......
playing it but the sound is certainly very different than an acoustic. Depends on what type of music you want to play.

4. Sorry, But No
But, i would think they'd be fine. I always thought Ovation's played very nicely.

I've got a Martin 12, and like you, an old Harmony. I've got the Ambassador 12 string. That one i keep tuned to open C for my Kottke/Fahey moods.

I'd still like an electric 12 string, but i've run out of places to hang the guitars!
