I am suspicious

First, I am very skeptical of the assassination of Bhutta and I do believe it was an assassination first then an explosion following. I am skeptical of who is responsible. Second, the Middle East is brewing again with turmoil and threats. Bin Laden messages and threats coming out again.
Do you think it is because of our elections? I think it is. I think "they" want a Hillary vs. Mc Cain fight. I think all this is to get the message off the populist message and onto all the threats. What do you think?

The stage is being set linking Bhutto to 2001, MSM is buying it. If the focus turns away from Johns main message,"Corporate control" and people begin to have that kind of "fear" again and the players in the game use it as a selling point to their candidacy.

But, after taking a few hours to think about it, John Edwards will address these volatile, precarious issues in the Middle East if he needs too. I have total faith in him.

Especially if, no when, he's the Dem nom.....the Rovian arm of the GOP will use this against him by attacking his "Global War on Terror is just a bumpersticker" meme.

WE know better. JRE has already taken the lead, WE just need to keep watching his back.

he leading GOP presidential candidates unleashed an all-out ad war going into the final days before the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary, each trying to fight multiple candidates on multiple fronts in an effort to hold on to gains in the polls.

And the ads have triggered harsh closing words from candidates on the stump.

Like a boxer hearing the bell for the final round, Mike Huckabee came out swinging going into the weekend, responding to Mitt Romney’s new ad in Iowa criticizing his record on government spending, immigration and crime and even sticking his neck out for rival John McCain.

“I think it is because he has spent millions and millions of dollars … and I am sure there is a feeling of frustration. You are not supposed to be behind when you spend that kind of money,” Huckabee said of Romney in Indianola, Iowa, Saturday.

“Mitt doesn’t have anything to stand on except to stand against,” he said earlier in the day at Boyt Harness Co., a hunting accessory business in Osceola.

But a new poll shows the race in flux before the Jan. 3 caucuses. While other recent surveys have put Huckabee slightly ahead of Romney in Iowa, an American Research Group poll out of the state showed Romney with 32 percent and Huckabee with 23 percent. The poll was taken of 600 likely GOP caucus-goers from Dec. 26-28, and had a margin of error of 4 percent

Did you know that Fox News hasn't published a single poll showing a general election matchup between John Edwards and a Republican?

On the other hand, Fox has released 23 matchups featuring Hillary Clinton and a Republican -- and 10 with Barack Obama.

Fox must know what a comprehensive analysis of publicly available polling data shows: John Edwards is the most electable Democrat, leading Republicans by 8 points on average, compared to 5 points for Obama,
Over the last few days, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of all the publicly available polls showing general election matchups that I could get my hands on.

I explain the details of my methodology below, but the key point is that the analysis was limited to polls including all three Democrats matched up against the same Republicans. In other words, instead of comparing a Hillary Clinton - Rudy Giuliani matchup taken in March to a John Edwards - Mike Huckabee matchup from December, this analysis only makes apples-to-apples comparisons: Democrats matched up against the same Republicans in the same timeframe by the same polling organization.

As the above chart shows, since July 1, John Edwards consistently receives the highest support and holds the Republican to the lowest support. As a result, John Edwards would enter the 2008 general election with the largest lead of any Democrat.

Take the example of Fox News, for example.

This year, Fox has released 33 polling general election polling matchups, 23 featuring Hillary Clinton and 10 featuring Barack Obama.

According to Fox's polling, Hillary Clinton wins 78% of the 23 matchups with an average margin of 6%, compared to 70% for Obama with a 4.7% margin.
