Morning has broken, and we need to send our dear candidate $$$$. He hit NH at dawn today, speaking
at a rally.

Sounding strong speaking to a sizable group. MSNBC covered it and maybe now he will get more face time on cable.

But let's face it Edwardians......"money is the mother's milk of politics".........and at any other time Edwards would not be struggling for dollars as he is now, during this most historic primary season.

For some reason the labor and struggling class vote didn't come through for him in Iowa. I am more than sure it all came down to getting his message out, while Obama and Clinton bombarded households with lit......they have the bucks to do it......and Obama co-oped Edwards theme and ran though the finish line with it....and money helped push him though.

All is fair in politics....and it's not what happens in life....it is what ya do about it.......no crying here...let's raise some money for Edwards.

We must we must we must do all that we can to get others to donate to Edwards as well.

Love ya all.

:loveya:

1. Agree -- I sent an on-line donation last night. I'd like to see a lot of
New Hampshire voters give the man more consideration than he's getting in the damn media.

2. Well, there needs to be more than you and me on this bandwagon....it is hard for
newbies and others who have not followed politics very long, to not just get up and fold up their tent and walk away.

Politics is so hard on the heart and so many times unfair....but damn it to hell....we must do all we can to bolster the troops.

If i give up...I will be my own worst enemy....

Keep the faith dear heart....and keep John in your sights.

3. Will do. Edwards has already run a great race with a great message, and
it remains now for New Hampshire Democrats to decide how much they want a restoration of the country we had before 8 years of Bush.

Obviously Sen. Obama is in a strong position coming out of Iowa, but I'll be watching to see how much support Sen. Clinton gets in New Hampshire. I think that's going to be a real huge factor in how well John does there.

Ninga, no one asked me, but if I were Sen. Clinton this morning, I'd sack my campaign manager and hire someone else. Without some kind of dramatic series of moves real quick here, I think she may be down for the count. I'm almost positive her people in Iowa assumed they'd finish significantly higher than John Edwards.

And that didn't happen.

4. OC, your take on Clinton is a direct reflection on a candidate's ability to "hear" and "read"
the mood of the country.

Both the Clintons were able to read the vibes of the country in the 90's...once they won, they became insulated and removed for 8 years....now they are comfortable financially, and have dusted off the old tricks that worked in the past.......tin ear syndrome I call it.....stuff that worked for Hil in NY isn't working now.......people who are powerful tend to want "yes" men around them to bolster their own self interested opinions.....so goes her team.....will she jettison??? This is the part of politics I thrive on......not the heartbreaking stuff.

Do you think Saturday's NH debate will matter??

6. Strong points on the Clintons' being attuned in the 90s and not quite
so attuned now. Something's missing in that campaign. I don't know what, but the results are a muddle.

How can someone with that kind of profile and built-in organizational advantage sound that flat-spirited on the stump? I'm just amazed at how undynamic that campaign has been run. I think of John Kennedy as the prototype for a great speech. She has all the education he had but none of the dynamic range. I want to like her. But I just don't.

Yes. The debate will matter, although I feel cheated that Biden and Dodd and Kucinich et al aren't in it now. They added a hell of a lot to the dialogue and kept everyone else on their best game.

5. Just got paid and
sent him all I could. Obama got 24.5 to Edwards 20.5. I really think Edwards will surge as more and more people see Edwards is the fighter who can take back Washington from the Corporate squatters who run it now.

8. "For some reason the labor and struggling class vote didn't come through for him in Iowa. "
don't worry. they will get exactly what they deserve. i'm even more afraid for my country now. those very people who need the most help will not get it from obama ... no healthcare that leaves big insurance co's out of it, no more middle class, no future so to speak. people better wake up and really start checking out the rhetoric from the truth of what's needed.

don't get me wrong, i can support obama if i have to, but right now i don't have to & i won't.

glad to see clinton slapped down into 3rd place though. i absolutely cannot support her no matter what.

9. Sending Money Today... I Really Am Busting My Budget, Don't Have
deep pockets... but I'll do another $100.00 at least! I believe in this man with all my heart. I DON'T think Obama is all that genuine and I feel he "took" Edwards' issues and ran with them. He had more money and as much as I dislike all this money stuff... it's NEEDED!
Please, please DONATE!!!

12. I'll MATCH your hundred bucks!
The wife 'n me don't have an address on Easy St., but this election is SO critical. Last night's win for Obama was only more of a clincher for my support of Edwards!
Watching Barack give a "victory speech" that was made from 90% of what John's been saying all along.... THAT was a slap to my face! Obama - don't parrot our candidate JUST to patch up your own holes! If you can't be original, how the hell are you gonna take the helm of this sinking nation and steer it to better waters??? :grr:
