Anyone watching the debate tonight?
I don't think I can do that. It's going to be more bickering and squabbling and tattletaling without an adult to keep them in line.
I'd rather babysit a bunch of toddlers with forks in a room full of electrical outlets.

1. I've decided instead to cut myself with a razor blade and bathe in a tub full of
rubbing alcohol.

14. Yeah, me too.
I am so NOT used to having free time in the fall. Not this year. No canvassing, no lit drops, no rallies, no phone banking, no debate watching parties. I guess it will give me more time to work on the revolution.

15. I"m in with you. After the caucus on Tuesday, I'm DONE!
and may very well change my affiliation to U.

First time in my life, but I can't do this anymore at all!

I may really give the rest of 'em a tongue-lashing on Tuesday. ASSHOLES!

5. Ugh...
CNN isn't even pretending anymore. Today one of them, I think it was Wolf, said in an excited voice "Clinton and Obama face-off tonight! This is the debate we have been preparing for, for 10 months!"

It's "The Hillary Obama Show" and the script was written and sold with an eye towards ratings. Now that that pesky John Edwards has dropped out they can get on with the show. Woo hoo.

fuck em

10. Rocky!
He just did! I couldn't help myself, flipped to CNN and heard Obama say almost word for word John's immigration plan. I wanted to puke. So, are they going to channel Edwards for our vote? I'm not buying.

12. This whole thing has been one Edwardism after another.
They've figured out how to package and sell their election. It would be funny if it wasn't so damn sad.

11. I'm watching.
And while I really wish John was still in the mix, it's interesting to watch it as an objective viewer. I'm listening to their answers without the prejudice of being for one or the other.

16. Watched for the first 30 min and
got disgusted. This isn't a debate, it's absolutely pathetic. John should NEVER HAVE GOTTEN OUT OF THIS RACE. If it weren't so pathetic, it might just be sad.

18. I didn't watch.
I knew it would just be more of the same old same old and neither of them hold any appeal to me.

19. I'm with you
These two are a sad rendition of Punch & Judy. With Corporate puppeteers grinning down from above.

What's really disheartening for me is if this country even survives that long, we're in for 8 more years of BULLSHIT before there's a chance for change. If McVain or Rumney wins (or fate forbid - Huckadunce) there'd be MAYBE a better chance for the likes of Edwards or Kucinich next time around. Of course, if the talons of Corporatisim manage to sink even deeper, it may never be reversed in my lifetime.
