Ok just some things I need convincing on

I've been waiting and waiting for Wes Clark to jump in but the closer it gets to Labor Day the more the odds look longer that he's going to jump in. The more and more John Edwards talks about the issues, puts himself on the stump, and really talks to the people, more and more I'm starting to warm up to him.

So here's what I really need convincing on:

I want to be sure that his more progressive stances as of late are not just face-saving moves to win the nomination but that he genuinely believes what he is saying, since his record and stances in 2004 were more conservative than where he is now as well as his votes in the Senate. The thing that is keeping me from really saying I will vote for him is that I want to be sure he says what he means and means what he says and isn't just making the right noises to win the nomination out of ambition as opposed to genuinely believing in what he says.

and if he's a fake, I'll beat the crap out of him :evilgrin:

Much about learning and feeling about a candidate is getting your hands on all the material you can read, good and bad, MSM and diehard supporting bloggers, and their critics. If what's left still feels good, then you've found your candidate!

I was thrilled to have attended Wesley Clark's keynote speech at Yearly Kos, then stay for his VoteVets forum and panel. He IS an amazing person, but I didn't hear Presidential in his comments, but a helluva Secretary of State!
