Celebrating Motown at 50
The Detroit Free Press has a really good spread on the artists and musicians of that era. I love that music!

The special includes videos, interviews and great pictures. Check it out!

1. Gee, a Detroit girl who likes Motown! I'm SHOCKED I tell ya!
:pals:

I have to admit the music is a liiiiitle bit before my time, but after seeing "Dreamgirls" a few years ago, I have a whoole new appreciation for that whole genre and especially the Supremes.

2. A boy from Detroit who likes Motown, too.
here is the original studio on West Grand.

Stevie Wonder back when he was Little Stevie Wonder

I recommend the documentary "Standing in the Shadows of Motown", all about the Funk Brothers, the backup band for most of the big stars of this label.
