WAUKEGAN, Ill. — The Lake County coroner says a Navy recruit found dead outside a Waukegan motel Sunday died of an overdose of heroin, cocaine and anti-anxiety medication.

Authorities say the body of 20-year-old James Stephens of Weatherford, Texas was found by a passer-by.

Coroner Richard Keller said Monday there was no evidence of trauma or injury, but autopsy results revealed Stephens died of multiple substance overdose.

Navy spokesman Matt Mogle said Stephens joined the Navy five months ago as a fireman recruit. Stephens was enrolled in an engineering program at Naval Station Great Lakes.

1. Do you know he received a waiver?
I don't see anything in that article that states he got a waiver to enter the military.

I also know a few people who use drugs who have never been arrested and, if they se the right methods, can pass the drug test at MEPS.
