A deployment and flag casing ceremony for about 130 soldiers from the 555th Engineer Brigade headquarters will take place Thursday at Fort Lewis, Wash.

This will be the brigade headquarters’ third deployment to Iraq. The unit first deployed April 2003 to March 2004 to Tikrit, and again from October 2005 to October 2006 to north central Iraq.

During this deployment, the soldiers will support combat operations, construction and geospatial operations in partnership with Provincial Reconstruction Teams and Iraqi army engineers.
