GREENBELT, Md. — A former Andrews Air Force Base security guard has been sentenced to two years’ probation for failing to include his Muslim name on a background check.

Darrick Michael Jackson was also ordered in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt on Monday to pay a fine and do community service.

The 38-year-old Washington resident was charged with making a false statement for not listing “Abdul-Jalil Mohammed” as an alias on a form in 2005, and then lying in an interview by not revealing his alias when asked.

A mistrial was declared in December, but in the retrial in June, Jackson was convicted of making a false statement in connection with the interview but acquitted of the false statement charge connected to the job application.

1. Jeff Gannon strikes again! I STILL don't know how he got into the WH under a false name...
unless he had 'friends' inside.

2. Obviously Gannon's overnights were approved by someone
of the highest authority.

3. I still think it was McClellan because he vetted the press pool even while Fleischer was WHspokesman
