TAMPA, Fla. — Two of the nation’s busiest hospital for military veterans will be even busier during Veteran’s Day.

The James A. Haley VA hospital in Tampa — the nation’s largest — plans a parade, ceremony and cookout for the holiday Tuesday. The Tampa Bay Children’s Chorus is performing for veterans during a ceremony.

The Tampa hospital is one of four VA facilities in the country that house a unit to treat the most catastrophically injured troops from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Bay Pines VA hospital in St. Petersburg — also one the nation’s largest — is having its own Veterans Day program with guest speakers, music and a wreath presentation.
