Submarine Boise returning to Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. — The Los Angeles-class submarine Boise has completed a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and is returning to Norfolk.

The Navy’s submarine force says the Boise is scheduled to arrive in Norfolk on Tuesday. The fast attack submarine has 135 sailors.

During the deployment, the 360-foot Boise performed two national security missions in support of the 6th Fleet and participated in five anti-submarine warfare exercises with European allies.
