Ranger killed in IraqThe Associated Press

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — An Army Ranger from Daytona Beach was killed while conducting combat operations in northern Iraq.
The Department of Defense reports that 29-year-old Staff Sgt. Anthony D. Davis was killed Tuesday during a fire fight with a heavily armed enemy, who was later killed by Davis’ assault force. No other Rangers were injured.
Davis was serving with the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment out of Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.
