WEST POINT, N.Y. — A U.S. Military Academy cadet from Michigan has been cleared of sexual assault charges after a court-martial.

Cadet Adam E. McMurray, a sophomore who played linebacker for the Army football team, pleaded guilty to a charge of drunk and disorderly conduct at the start of the two-day court-martial that ended Tuesday. He also was charged in October with three counts of assault, three counts of wrongful sexual conduct and one count of burglary.

McMurray, of Davison, Mich., was accused of entering the barracks room of three female cadets in his cadet company while intoxicated. The Army has not released any other details of incident.

McMurray was reprimanded and ordered to forfeit $500 a month in pay for three months.
