Perhaps it's the same reason that they have been working with the Pentagon to deny benefits to troops with PTSD by claiming that it was part of a pre-existing condition.

Maybe it's because in BushLand unemployment is down, the surge is working, spying on Americans isn't bad, and screwing up the actual number of those with cancer is a way to show that the Repukes are fiscally conservative.

But I guess my theories are as good as any!
