The Army Reserve’s 530th Military Police Battalion of Omaha, Neb., will receive a send off on Jan. 19 in advance of the soldiers’ upcoming deployment to Iraq.

The 165 soldiers will provide command and control, staff planning and administrative and logistics support for the Iraqi Correctional Officers Training Academy. The soldiers also will run Detainee Training Team operations.

The soldiers of the 530th are trained in the day-to-day operations of a military confinement facility.
