2. That is so cool
Thanks for sharing the link. I wish we could have gone to the Yearly Kos. Glad there were those who could go.

3. just came back from draft al meeting.
and i tell you all what- al gore is running. all candidates say they are not running until they are. you pick your place to announce, and it isn't on larry king.
we were strongly encouraged to pursue whatever measure we thought would help build the draft movement. al is interested in running. he really hasn't made up his mind. he is watching us, and he is watching the other candidates. he is not happy.
this comes from the guy who runs draftgore.org. he knows al well, and has al's blessing for what he is doing.
so, i am officially working to elect al gore, starting right now.
he will answer the call to duty if it is loud and clear enough. that is what i took home.

8. I figured it was Dylan
Did he tell you how he met Al? If he didn't you should check out http://babyian.com it will outrage you, break your heart and give you hope all at the same time. You'll understand Dylan's devotion to Al after reading the story.

I "met" Dylan in the algoredemocrats' chat room the night that Gore announced he wouldn't run. He's a really nice guy.

9. he told a little of the story.
he seemed very sweet. and the story sounded like pure al.
he is out there working hard. and i believe him when he says that if al didn't really want to run, he wouldn't be out there.

11. I just keep thinking about the 2004 timeline
Gore announced that he would not run in December 2002. Gore had ruled out running almost two years before the 2004 election. That time has come and gone and Gore has made no firm statement saying, like he did in 2002, that he would not seek the office of POTUS in 2008.

Besides, why invite people to a party when most of the people aren't ready for one yet? I remember what I was doing four years ago in July. I was working with others to set up a Dean info/registration table at our town's annual sidewalk sale. People that stopped by our table were pretty nice but a lot of people said it was way too early to be thinking about presidential politics. By the time others were ready to start getting involved a number of us had laid the ground work for them to join us. I think that's the best course of action right now. We've got to set the table because if our guest of honor arrives we'll be inundated with people wanting to join us.

7. So good to hear that
I couldn't go last night -- had to work. I've seen the dem candidates' environmental platforms, and looks like Dodd's has the most teeth, but for some reason his campaign is deemed second tier. I'm thinking if Gore doesn't see what needs to be seen from these candidates, he'll enter the field himself. Here's to hope, anyway.
Rosesaylavee told me the story about one of the speaker's encounters with Al Gore regarding Aetna insurance. Wish one of you who were there would share that story.
Thanks for the report, mo. :hi:

sorry you weren't there. but we all walked away sure that if we build it, he will run.
there is very little going on in this region. suppose barack accounts for that. but i hope we can change that.

12. I hope Al runs...
I've written him a couple letters asking/begging him to. He has to know that not only does his country need him, the entire world does.

I'm in Ohio and would be happy to do what I can for him. I worked very hard for Kerry and kicked ass in '06....no one inspires me like Al.
