Christians launch own ads to counter atheist messages on London's buses

I haven't been around much and only been able to quickly scan DU so maybe you guys had already seen this but just in case:

LONDON - Christians are soldiering on in the battle over God's existence by putting ads on London's famous red buses urging people to have faith.

The posters are a response to an atheist campaign that told people to stop worrying about religion because God probably doesn't exist.

The Christian Party has paid $22,000 to run ads declaring: "There definitely is a God. So join the Christian Party and enjoy your life," in red, pink, and orange letters. The ads will start appearing on buses Monday.

That always amazes me about the Xians. They keep pushing their stale, two-thousand-f!cking-years-past-its-shelf-life fairy tale as though it's something brand new. Instead of a tired old mish-mash of superstitions swiped from other cultures.

Another Christian group is advertising a message from Psalm 53:1 which reads: "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God."

Proving only that, even in the Bronze Age, atheists were already annoying the faithful.

If they're so convinced, why worry about an advert? Shouldn't their god be able to convince people - and if they're already convinced, why do they need a rah-rah message on the side of a bus?

4. You are so right! It truly shows how shaky their faith is and how MUCH

they are worried on people leaving the faith. They are just sad delusional people!

5. The message isn't "come to church"

It's "come to our church". Or, in the case of the Christian Party, "join us, vote for us". It's ultimately about money and power for the particular group placing the advert.
