Did you know...

that instead of mourning the loss of so many pieces of art and bits of knowledge from the antiquities that were destroyed by Christians, we should be GRATEFUL since it missed a few, and also made sure that it was the only source of literacy and knowledge during the dark ages?

I did not know! I'm glad I do now!

5. Reminds me of a humanities textbook I had.

It covering the history of Western civilization from Sumeria to the Renaissance. A little blurb on the Dark Ages credited Christianity with being a beacon of hope in such dark times. No mention made of course in the Church's role in creating the situation.
