history of xmas for the non-christian child?
Anyone have any suggested books or videos geared to a young audience that discuss the history of christmas without preaching?

1. I'm not sure how young they would have to be...
"The Trouble With Christmas" by Tom Flynn does the history, the symbols, etc. He's an atheist. This wouldn't be for young children, but pre-teens and up might like it.

 There seems to be a need for a children's book with a working title of "Santa Claus is Bullshit."

Our Pagan Christmas
$3.00
By R.J.Condon.
What religion celebrated December 25, even before Jesus was supposed to have been born? Where did the Christians get the "born of a virgin" idea? Were the "three kings" the real stars of the story? This small booklet deals with these and other questions in a succinct form, and will start readers on their way to understanding the real meaning and origins of "Christmas."
