"Does God Exist?"

Dr. Ed Buckner, President of American Atheists will debate John Rankin of the Theological Education Institute this Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 beginning at 10:00 AM ET. The forum is the Jim Vicevich Show on WTIC radio in Connecticut. The program will also be streamed live on the internet -- just visit http://www.wtic.com .

Ed Buckner is a renowned Freethought activist and prominent debater and lecturer. Prior to being President of American Atheists, he was a director for the Council on Secular Humanism and headed the Atlanta Freethought Society.

John Rankin is President of the Theological Education Institute and the Mars Hill Society. He grew up as a Unitarian-agnostic before converting to "biblical Christianity" in 1967.

2. If I were the atheist in such a debate, I'd need only two words
repeated as often as necessary: "Prove it."

3. Why debate such a hypothesis?
It is very simple: To the believer I would ask "Do you have ANY empirical evidence to support your hypothesis of the exist of god that we can examine?" the answer is obviously no; End of discussion.

4. But the pro-side (God exists) will always bring out
subjective evidence and logical fallacies. That's how it always seems to go down
