Context!
The worst thing about Bible Skeptic Kool Kids is your refusal to recognize CONTEXT.

Stifle your giggles, this is serious business.

2. That video is so spot on, it's scary.
Among liberal Christians, not one single "liberal" verse is ever questioned for context. In fact, most of them use those out of context all the time. But don't you DARE quote anything slightly less-than-liberal, because then it's ALL ABOUT how it was a different time, different place, different people, oh and by the way I happen to know that in colloquial Aramaic that if you said one thing, you actually meant the TOTAL OPPOSITE of what you said. :eyes:

3. After all...
When you understand Aramaic, you learn that the words for "everlasting fire" actually mean central air.

4. All the more reason to anticipate hell!
Einstein, Mark Twain, Carl Sagan, AND air conditioning?

Hopefully there's an Aramaic passage saying there will be NO BEER in hell!

5. Yeah, that's pretty funny
Since "liberal" notions can be contextualized out of existence too, as their freeper bretheren are only too happy to remind them. The only firm no-context ground in that baroque mess is that God is a badass you don't want to fuck with.

For a bunch hyper-attuned to context, Biblenauts sure get caught quotemining atheists and historic luminaries an awful lot.
