Just Another Great Reason I'm An Atheist
Drought here in the deep heart of secessionist Southwest Texas. We had a wildfire in Comfort a couple of weeks ago, close to our home near Boerne that required several fire units from as far as San Antone and even San Marcos that were needed to put it out. Half of Texas is burning and the other half is on fire. pRick Perry told people a couple of months ago to pray for rain. You'd think if gawd really loved fundamentalist, creationist, teabagging anti-choicers so much, he'd tilt the state and let the flood waters flow over the parts of the state that are on fire. Instead, gawd's been answering his prayers for rain, mostly in Mississippi. And another thing about this gawd business. Why is it that he made nice flowers and vines die unless people water them and all the ugly weeds multiply without needing a spit of H2O?. Not to mention that he created deer that won't touch those weeds, but that instead make a beeline for my passion flower vines, jasmine, hollyhocks, crimin lillies and even some of my deer resistant plants that they normally don't eat because of the drought? Explain that one to me. I got up this morning and the deer had eaten my hollyhocks to the ground! Gawd supposedly told Adam that thistles and thorns would grow on the ground because he disobeyed him. He also must have told the fuckin' deer not to eat them. Now if I were a person prone to theism, I'd be scrambling for Thor right about now. He'd give me rain, he's a Viking and likes to hunt deer (sorry, veggs), and he's hot.

1. Sorry I'm so late on this one...
But all I can say is "Keep ranting!"

:hi:

Perry reminds me of Huckabee - I think he's a lot smarter and more dangerous than he often appears in the media. Huckabee appears to be much more serious about the God crap, though. It was the Huckster who childishly held up a flood relief bill in Arkansas because it contained the words "act of God." Whereas I'm pretty sure, if the numbers and money suddenly swung that way, Perry would happily congregate with Satanists.
