Heart of the Beholder (Movie)

Anyone else send money and get a copy of the just released DVD?

I did both.

My short review that doesn't include spoilers:

I watched it Saturday. Well done considering the amount of money they had. Even very funny in some spots. However, if anyone is expecting a docu-drama about First Amendment rights you'll be sorely disappointed, as I was. It's the story of one family's struggle with some fundies - and the devastating results for that family. More appropriate for a "Move of The Week" (as it was originally envisioned) than a full length motion picture.

That said, I enjoyed it - watched it all the way through. Compelling story fairly well written and mostly well acted.

It's certainly cheap enough, and I know what those folks have gone through to try and get this movie made.

...on IMDB. That's good. Only one review posted so far, though.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've heard about this case, and now I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.
