Personal finance and progressive agenda
Hi, it is good to see a group like this in DU.

I am socially very liberal but fiscally moderate. My biggest issue is 'Global Warming'.

I started my new career as a financial adviser/planner. I passed too insurance exams and I am preparing for series 6 exam right now. My company requires every adviser to have CFP by the end of 4th year.

Here is what I observe daily. I got an impression that my liberal friend seem to dislike the idea of investment and financial planning. From my point of view, liberal people has more reason to take care of their own finance and planning for future. I do believe American middle class is over taxed. ( My definition includes up to 250k household income.) The very low tax rate of very rich ( income beyond 1 mil) are just plain wrong. ( I am originally from Japan.) I like to help people to save tax and increase protection for future. I also think people should know more about estate planning to leave their legacy. How to prepare for child's education is another issue.

It is in one sense true, middle class is most squeezed tax wise. My hispanic friend is feeling it because she started making more money from her second part time job!!

If you live in Maryland, I love to give an educational seminar specifically geared to Democrat and Progressives.

This is my belief and my marketing efforts put together. I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks in advance.
