I own a small business

in the DFW area...anyone here try to sign up with BNI? Two weeks ago I sent them an email requesting info to sign up, rec'd a reply that they would have several of the local groups contact me before deciding which one would be the best group for me to join.

since then, I have heard nothing...was wondering if BNI really is as good as I've heard...so far, not impressed.

thanks for any info/input!

It's a business, trying to make money off you, and I find it mostly populated by insurance agents, financial planners, and network marketers. I greatly prefer, and find much more profitable, joining local Chambers of Commerce, and participating in their networking events. There's a lot more people, of much greater variety. And I hate groups that meet at 7am. I much prefer the 5pm Chamber event format.
