Ex-Superman Dean Cain is Vandal Savage on WB's Smallville
Dean Cain appears is several episodes this season as Vandal Savage...

Story here: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/33540

Already on Smallville's slate for the upcoming season...

Supergirl...

Green Arrow and Johnn Martian Manhunter return as well...

Although I'm not always happy at the series' continuity (Superman was the first costumed hero, but Smallville has already featured a handfull before Clark ever dons the red and blue tights), I still like seeing these comic book figures brought to live. Smallville, IMO, does a great job of casting them.

2. That would be the "Power Girl" incarnation, then...
I think, anyway. I don't read comics as much as I used to.

3. I quit cold turkey in the early 90s
I grew up reading comics in the 70s and 80s. But, after I got out of college in '89 is when the industry started exploding with all kinds of independent small companies. So, I felt it necessary to buy almost every new title that came out in case it became the next Spider-Man or X-Men...

And, my habit eventually got up to a good $50/week when I got in a minor car accident... I decided I could buy a cheap car and continue buying comics, or I could buy a nicer new car, but then I'd have to give up comics to afford the payments.

So, I gave up comics.

4. About the same for me
I hit a peak in the mid-80's, but tapered off toward the early 90's. After that I bought very sparingly, focusing on a few authors and/or titles. Now I might by one comic per year, if that.

I read about Power Girl as Supergirl's buxom alter-ego somewhere online, but I can't remember where.

5. Sweet, :)
I can't wait to catch up on season 6, when it comes out 9/18/07...I've only seen the season opener of season 6....

I don't got the CW channel, and picking up the dvd seasons and watching them to no end..is a sort of rite for me, :D

6. I'm watching the High Def version
The HDNet high definition channel is running the series in 1080i. I think it's just now in season 2. I never watched the show in it's initial run, and am really enjoying both the stories and the cinematography. The use of color and light on Smallville is amazing!
