Anyone else out there looking forward to Battlestar Galactica's return
on the SciFi Channel?

If the writing and money is there, it should be great.

2. The original was a remake of "Wagon Train" in space.
The first season was okay but it seemed to fall apart to nin scifi interests. Overall I didn't care for it.

The remake miniseries last year was well done though.

4. My Friend Saw The First Episdoes
He downloaded them off the internet.

Between my lectures about how piracy is wrong, he kept saying how awesome the episodes were.

5. I hope it is good (possible spoiler on miniseries)
I'm dying for some good sci-fi on TV. Enterprise just doesn't really do it for me, though I don't think it's terrible.

I did not love the miniseries, though.

SPOILER ALERT...

I thought the Cylon babe killing the baby in the beginning was just way over the line & excessive, even though it was not actually shown. Or, the young girl in the ship....There were a few other things I didn't like as well, but I forget them now.

6. Count me in.
I like how they took the original premise and added a modern edge to it. Camp like the original series wouldn't fly in today's television market. Sadly, the audience expects more violence and sex in their televison (which is ironic considering all the people decrying the "moral decline" in the country...all the while shows with more sex and violence get higher and higher ratings.)

While perhaps some of the new BG miniseries was a little over the top, it's clear that the writers loved the original series and wanted to treat it with respect. And their reasoning for using the old style Vipers was rather clever, I think.

Hope it's good. I need something like this on TV right now.

7. I thought the pilot was very, very strong.
But I had very, very low expectations. But I'll watch it when it comes out. I like Edward James Olmos.

9. Looking forward to it.
Actually, it was one of the few things I regretted when I cancelled my DISH. I never watched the TV much, and CNN just pissed me off. Also, it pissed me off to pay $30 per month to watch commercials. I don't miss TV at all, but I might have to get the Battlestar episodes on DVD.
