Questions about CBS's Morning Show (Sunday) (target age / Lincoln museum)
First off, my wife likes to watch this show - she finds it 'relaxing'.

I wonder what the median age for this show is - *80*???

This show has more puff pieces on it than The Today Show.

2-3 weeks ago they did a report of all things, a thing called "eBay", which is on something called the "internet" which is run by something called "computers" where people are selling everything from their Mom's silverware to their old t-shirts... Go figure.

So LAST week they profiled the new Lincoln Museum which opened this week. OK, but the reporter (Rita Braver?) asked, "So, why hasn't there been a Lincoln Museum up until NOW?" Maybe the guy should have answered, "Well, we never saw the need with so many OTHER Lincoln museums..." but the answer suggested that there weren't any others...

But even though my civil war knowledge is VERY sketchy, I just KNEW that the JFK of pre-1960's America HAD to already have SOME Lincoln museums, and a quick search on Google found MANY OF THEM...

The ONLY saving grace of this show is the "wildlife minute" at the very end - thank God for Tivo.

1. The show has a large and loyal "cult following."

People who watch from beginning to end and who notice
any change, no matter how minute, and complain loudly.
(I saw a story somewhere about this when Kuralt left
and Osgood came onboard.)

It's a guilty pleasure for me, a little bit of MSM
that doesn't make me gag.

2. I think you're thinking of "CBS Sunday Morning."
It's an entirely different show. I wish the morning show was more like it! I used to be a loyal Today Show fan but no more. The crap they had before the election turned me off completely and I don't think any of the morning shows were any better.

3. Oh, I thought that's what you were talking about.

No, I don't waste my time with any of the morning
shows. Katie Couric and her glasses pretending to
be a journalist sends me into fits of hysterical
laughter.

4. Oh, you're right!
I see the OP does say "Sunday" in the title.

Well, I missed it last Sunday because I had a bike ride. There are pieces on it that I find a bit bland but otherwise, it's one of my husband's and my favorite shows. It's the only show I can think of where you can learn something about art and music of all kinds.

Of course, we're going to be 50 this summer so we're not helping the "average age" of the show's viewers. ;)

5. So "that's" why I'm enjoying it more now.
I hit the magic 4 one last year (40). Loving it,
or at least trying to laugh about it.

Lol.

6. One of my friends considers it "church"
He's an avowed agnostic non-practicing Jew, and he said it's as close as he comes to "church" each week - with the wildlife segment as the closing prayer.
