I am sooooo happy that Taylor won and what a great show it was tonight! I flipped when I saw Prince!

And I loved that they brought back that young guy from the middle of nowhere who Simon suggested he get singing lessons. For those who didn't watch they had a "for fun" competition for best male bonding. They showed two of them hugging and Rayon and Taylor laying on the ground together. This young guy sang in the beginning competition in Hollywood with 2 others and sang a cowboy song complete with the boots and hates. When they were on the show tonight they sounded great. The young guy definitely had some vocal coaching. OHHHH and they called it Broke Note Mountain!

It was 2 hours of feel good, happy, bring all the contestants back and sprinkle it with a bunch of stars show. I am going to miss it.

I hope someone watched it and posts. There does not seem to be many IDOL fans here.

1. I watched the tag end of it....
...I posted under your other message.

I'm kind of sorry I missed most of it (my son had a concert tonight). I was impressed with the star power toward the end. At the risk of sounding like a sap, Burt Bacharach is one of my favorite pop composers and Dionne Warwick one of my favorite singers.

I'm less than thrilled with the result. Mandisa, however, blew me away with her snippet of "I Say A Little Prayer." Covais was cute singing "What's New, Pussycat." Perfect song for him.

So...AI won't be back until January?

2. Yea January and it's a good thing. I am hooked to the TV every Tuesday
while this show is on. I can't afford a whole year of it.

3. I think I'm the only one that thought the finale could have
been reduced to an hour. Go over the journey the finalist have made and have a guest singer, I'm voing for Prince, and leave Meatloaf and the others at home. I personally didn't think they were that good, but Toni Braxton, you're still hot, wow that was an outfit. Congrats to Taylor.

4. I forgot the name of the song Meatloaf sang. I thought is was good
but I remember it being one of my favorite songs (who's name I can't remember UGH!)

They must have them both practice the final song along with all the "Thank yous" That was a little weird.
