Big Brother - First Episode
Edited on Mon Jul-14-08 11:07 AM by dr.strangelove
Well, the new season started airing last night. Its a good cast IMO. I like the idea of picking a HOH before going in. I immediately thought the "old guy" was the safest choice and that he would only be put off by shockign behavior or lazy play.

On the house, it is UGLY. I hate teh kitchen with allt eh diner like chrome. I hate teh 60s room because its a parody of the 60s and not at all what I would have done to show that era.

On the houseguests:
New Orleans own Renny is going to get in trouble fast. She has a funny sense of humor, but she has to let people get to knwo her first. I say she stays awhile, but man she is annoying.
I agree with a prior psoter that the catholic school teacher, Dan is goign to be a tool. He says he will toss out his beliefs, so hopefully this will not be another god squad season.
Angie looks interesting. She has a lot of life under her belt and it should help her in teh game.
Jessie is HUGE. I've never seen someone on a reality show who was that much of a body builder. I wonder how he will do on slop.
April is cute and seems pretty smart, though I am not sure I buy that those are real.

Libra was adorable. I loved her hugging her kids and telling dad what to do to take care of the kiddies.
Brian seems very smart, but often one player seems smart at first then is shown to be an idiot. Brian is my choice for this year's Cappy.
Keesha, cute but can;t read her yet.
Memphis is annoyign me quickly. I don;t like him much, but its early.

Jerry rocks. Its easy to like the old guy. He should be easy to control, so I see him staying around for awhile.
Ollie is going to be a strong player. He seems smart and fit.
Steven is my favorite just because he is a gay cowboy. How can you cheer against a gay cowboy?
Michelle seemed quiet, so I don't have a good read on her yet.

I loved the car challenge and agree with Memphis that Jessie's call to sit out was a boneheaded things to do. I already dislike the Brian and Dan alliance. Its too early to start that kind of play in the open and they better be quiet about it. Brian seemed to cocky about his ability to control and cut Jerry lose. Jerry seems to be all about integrety. If it gets out that Brian is in an alliance, Jerry will not forgive him for not being open and honest about it and trying to control him. Plus, playing the military card was smart, but now he better back up that brother is arms stuff or else he will be on the outs with teh most loved guy in the house.

I agree with Jesse getting lissed at Renny, but with his decision to sit out the challenge, it gave Jerry all the reason he needed to selected Renny and Jesse. Bad form Jesse.

Anyway, looks good. I already like a few and hate a few. Lets see how long I last.

1. Episode 2
This whole episode was about how dumb Brian is. From teh start, even to Ollie and Dan, his alliance members, he talked at them as if he controlled them. He is an idiot. You have to let people think you don't control them, even if you do. I think he will make a run at evicting Renny, but at the end of the day, he is a threat and she is not. She is annoying, but she can be controlled and is not a physical threat. It seems that she is bright, so she should do well in the mental games, but she lets her emotions take over, so it should be easy to evict her later. Brian is a threat to everyone as he is a player. Revealing that too early will cost him. If not this week, soon. I think he goes this week.

2. Episode 3 - First Eviction
Good-bye Brian. Yo played the game poorly and WAY too early. The first three days are not teh time to make six alliances. Its teh time to build up a solid small group. Also, the comments about your control and your power doomed you. You have to make people think they are in charge and you only want a mutual deal that is beneficial for both/all of you. You doomed yourself man.

I love that teh muscleman is the new HOH. He seems fair so far, but I suspect he will go after Dan. We'll see.
Oh yeah, I hate Julie Chen. She is SOOOO annoying.

3. Don't know everyone's name yet
but Dan annoys me. Renny- I can't understand half of what she says, I need an interpreter. She annoys me too but at the same time she is amusing to watch in her colorful outfits and the gobbledygook she speaks. I'm rooting for Libra to win.

4. I'm not pulling for anyone yet
But I agree about Renny. She is annoying, but kind of funny. I think she will be around for awhile.
