Looks like Russell's life may be getting more difficult.

Judging from the previews they showed last week it looks like a number of castaways are considering rising up against Russell. His big mistake was promising his hidden idol to almost every other player there and then using it himself. They must have gotten together and compared notes. When and if they do vote him off he will be on the jury and I think he will vote in a way that will go against the mainstream in the same way that he has been playing the game. Essentially, it will probably amount to a wasted vote.

1. I was SO SURE Eric was going to play his idol. Stupid of him not to. Hubris?
As for Russell—lol, he's started to grow on me. I disliked him violently at the beginning, the way he called everyone stupid and his puppets. But he didn't bitch & moan at the weather conditions—he could hack it—and he performed in challenges, and he knew when to lay back, or alter strategy, when it was smart to. I started to have a grudging respect for him.

Eric was just too mouthy at tribal councils. I thought he was playing pretty shrewdly this episode, then he just couldn't stop with the trash talk. I'm glad he went, although it would've been interesting to watch things get juggled if he had played his idol too. But I've had it with Jaison's whining. Resumes aren't relevant to how good you are at surviving on an island, Mr. Wrinkly Fingers.

I hope Russell finds a way to stick around. Haha! I can't believe I'm saying that. But I hope he can persuade people that the duplicity with the idol was necessary, considering the lopsided numbers, an acceptable means of trying to stay alive. One thing I noticed about Russell, he's not as mean-spirited as he sounds when talking to the cameras. He gives people their due. I think he has a certain rough integrity.

2. I don't think they will vote him off this time.
They would not be promoting it in all the previews if he was going to be voted off. This is just a way to keep up their ratings.

I hope he is voted off soon, though. He needs to go. So does Shambo.

I like Laura. I am glad she got to stay.

Russell is such a misogynist. He tries to destroy any woman who questions him or stands up to him. The women should begin comparing notes on that, too.
