Motorcycle Riders

Are there any motorcycle riders at DU? Have any of you gone to any bike rallies? What were the rallies like?

and smaller rides. I live in L.A. and have been on "The Love Ride" and the "Laughlin River Run." Love ride is about 30,000 bikes, laughlin is third largest in U.S. behind Daytona and Sturgis. Its most fun if you actually ride with friends or another local group, otherwise you end up pretty much on your own. Its funny, bikers like to wave at each other on the road, but when it comes time to ride, everyone takes off and leaves you behind.

As for what its like, it depends on what type of scene you are into. These things can get pretty crazy sometimes in some places while mild elsewhere. Lots of bikes, lots of marketing, lots of scantily clad chicks, lots of drugs and booze, the potential for violence, etc. I don't think I'll go to another though. I had my taste.

Might go to Americade this year in Lake George.
