AR-15 optics...? help me decide
I traded for a Professional Ordinance Carbon 15 with a flattop upper.I thinking about a red dot scope or a low power variable. I don't know much about red dots or which optic company makes a decent one that will not break my bank account.

Also any info on cleaning this beast and good cheap .223 ammo will be appreciated.

Thanks

2.  I've ordered ammo from them before,
I might order some S&B 55gr FMJ's.

As for optics I'm thinking about at a Burris Red Dot with a 3moa dot, you know anything about them?

4. Stick with the best ones.
With my AR-15s I use either EOTech Holosight or a Trijicon reflex sight. It is incredibly easy to use, and no matter what angle you are looking at the image, what ever the red-dot/chevron/donut is on will be hit (if it has been properly sighted in of course). If you are a little off kilter and the target is in the upper corner of the viewing window with the dot on it, it will be hit.
Here is a ebay search page: http://search.ebay.com/holosight_W0QQfkrZ1QQfnuZ1QQfromZR8
Here is some info on EOTech's holosight (with great prices and lots of optics!):

Of course if you really want the best military wise for your AR, then you must get a trijucon ACOG ($$$$$):

Good luck and have fun

5. Thanks for the advice
I leaning toward a low power variable scope. I may not be keeping this particular weapon. It's not a mil spec weapon and parts are almost non-existant. Bushmaster makes an improved version of one. Thinking about unloading this one and buying a Bushie. I only have $250 in it.
