Patriot Project clarifies McCain
Snip...

So what is up with McCain today, turning around and joining up with the very foes who smeared him in 2000?

From the Dallas News story,

Earlier this year, the Wylys' relationship with Mr. McCain took a surprising turn. They each sent $10,000 checks to his political action committee and were set to co-sponsor a Dallas fundraiser on his behalf.

And from ABC's April 23, 06 story, Gearing Up for '08? McCain Befriends Old Enemies,

Also co-chairing the (McCain) event are Rob Allyn, a Texas PR man who was paid $46,000 to produce the Wylys' "Republicans for Clean Air" ads, and businessmen Albert Huddleston and Harold Simmons, who gave $100,000 and $3 million respectively to the controversial independent group, "Swift Vets & POWs for Truth." McCain called "dishonest and dishonorable" the "Swift Vets" group's 2004 campaign ads that helped sink the presidential chances of Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.

McCain called "dishonest and dishonorable" the "Swift Vets" group's 2004 campaign ads that helped sink the presidential chances of Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.

... McCain has been criticized by many liberals and pundits in recent weeks for agreeing to speak on May 13 at Liberty University, the school founded by Christian conservative Rev. Jerry Falwell, who McCain in 2000 labeled "an agent of intolerance." McCain told NBC's Tim Russert earlier this month that he no longer held that opinion.
"The, quote, 'Christian Right' has a major role to play in the Republican Party," McCain said. "One reason is because they're so active, and their followers are."

Interestingly the Wyly Brothers may have gotten the money to smear McCain from Texas taxpayers, with Bush's help. But that's a story for later...

1. Wonder what JK thinks of his "friend" McCain hiring the Swifty
scum. I know he's way past trusting him, but still, this stuff is almost too much to take. To watch in slow motion the complete moral fall of a man. Simply breathtaking.

Yeah, my post at Raising Kaine got some positive comments about the Patriot Project. One guy, a veteran, linked to a story about one of the Swifties who now is in Vets for Allen. What's nice about the Patriot Project is they're very respectful -- they said that the man served honorably and really deserves respect. Then they explore why he went to the dark side, and can't completely come up with an answer. The Patriot Project is in line with my values -- they stick with the facts, and never denigrate anyone unfairly. They're a great organization.

2. McCain in scum.
He's a two-timing, back-stabbing, bush-hugging, little-girl-bashing bottom feeder.
He should rot slowly and painfully from within, starting with the dank, empty space where his heart should be.
As implausable as it sounds, IMO, he's worse than bush*. At least with bush*, you know pretty much how fucked up he is. McCain is a sneaky, slimy charlatain in the same league as Cheney and Rumsfeld.
He reminds me of the grinch, except his heart shrunk instead. Low-life scum.

4. Here's something that will make you feel better.
Go here and add your own description of McCain (and vote him down while you're at it).

6. Thanks.
I voted him down, but I'll have to work on a proper description. Obviously, these people need some facts about this loser, they seem hopelessly brainwashed by the msm.

5. Here, here!
I completely agree. Remember, this isn't over by a long shot. McCain was implicated in the Savings and Loan scandal of a few years ago and a lot of the 'funny money' was going to some very shady place, including some overseas places that were not pleasant at all. I can't see anyone being reticent about digging all that up again at all.
