It's exactly how he came off--as a whiney little brat. And, by the way, his last press conference showed the same whiney little brat streak. What have people ever seen in him? I just can't fathom it. And how could people not recognize true presidential material in JK? I'll never understand it.

I remember that debate. I think that's when I finally "fell in love." Never having been a big fan of political debates, I was just riveted by JK. It was fun to watch him--he'd be jotting down notes while Bush was speaking, and then give such a fabulous reply. Of course, I dig smart guys. :loveya:

But I have to wonder--why on earth did Bush let them make the podiums that high? I'm sure they were trying to split the difference between him and JK, but shouldn't he have requested phone books to stand on or something? :) I mean, if he wants to look silly and stupid, I have no gripes about it, but I'm just surprised that nobody from his side fussed about it. I know they camera-test neckties. It's weird that they didn't do something about the podium-to-Bush ratio.
