Topic is: What do you think about John Kerry seeking another White House bid? If he does run, should he give up his Senate seat?

This is related to the Scott Lehigh article, and has generated a lot of nasty, negative posts (I think the responses are up to 9 pages as of now!)

1. Interesting how people think he did not do anything for the state.

I tried to answer, but was a little bit short of individual facts.

This seems to be the fact with Kerry both locally and nationally. People do not seem aware of what he has been doing. I am not sure why. Somehow, I suspect this is because he does not produce a PR for each of his actions for MA, but it is a recurrent problem: the fact that people think Kennedy did everything that is good for MA and Kerry none.

when you want to point people to legislation he's sponsored. It's easier than thomas.

who sit on the Boston Glob site in order to snark. They wouldn't listen to a fact unless you used coercive measures.

Mass is like that. It is in no way reflective of how most Mass voters feel, but it is there, sigh!

5. I have heard it from people who are not Herald readers, but who

simply do not get the info. In Western Mass, this is a recurrent question among the people I know, who are generally Democrats.

8. The problem there is that people are inconsistent

They want pork elimonated - but their very necessary projects (pork) retained.

Even got told I didn't know what I was talking about because I wasn't from MA. :D Of course, they never proved they knew what they were talking about, so I got tired of listening to airheads and left. :)

(Well, plus, I have to make sure my kids do SOME school today!)
