Ok here's how my first day of interning went
Since the office was so busy preparing for the SOTU, my first offiical day will be monday. Oh and I am the majority whip in the model congress, we got a party line favoring gay marriage, anti death penalty, pro choice, etc, don't know how the legalization of pot part went because I had to head out for my internship by then, but I left singing Peter Tosh's Legalize It, hah good stuff. Turns out I was wrong about who was interning foR Kerry, she's a good dem and our speaker.

1. Go Kleeb
Outside of the legalizing Pot, you just legislated Massachusetts. I like that in a whip.

Good luck and have fun!

2. so many people wanted me to be speaker
I didn't want it, hell I originally only wanted a commitee chairmanship but I decided to be Whip so I could help our relatively inexperienced Majority Leader, a good guy with people but not a political person like me though I did get him to punch one for Kerry in November.

3. Great!
I am in such a good mood. They are rebroadcasting the ALCS championship Series from last fall on local cable. Tonight was Game 4. I can't believe I am still lvoing this. Obviously, I need help. Red Sox Anonymous -- Tried it, found out my higher power was David Ortiz. Damn.

Anyway, have fun. You start on The Hill Monday, right?

8. Very Well
Heard a nice joke in the office, a guy visting from Mckinney's office was wondering why they dont allow the St. Louis based congress people to have Amahuser Busch products when Atlanta can have Coke-Cola products.

12. have you seen some of the pics of Kerry's interns
a large majority of them are female.

probably like over 75 percent were female in some of the past pics i saw.

but i guess that's good news for the girls since it means they have a bigger chance of being picked.

Are there any girls who like that in a guy? I Wish I could know this girl, its funny to think about that they are out there living their life somewhere or you could already know them.

32. I know -
I actually married a guy who is TOTALLY bald - but I love it. Hair, or no hair, I'm ok with that. I like intelligence and good character. Hubby has both and is very kind, as well. Since you have plenty of both also, you will be just fine. And don't stress if girls are not "throwing themselves at you." At your age, a lot of girls are mostly interested in the football player jock/jerk who treats them like crap. You don't want a girl with that little self-esteem. A real woman will appreciate YOU and be glad you are a gentleman, and love you for it.

Besides, no proud Dem woman worthy of a guy like you will settle for a pea-brained jack-ass, when she could have a smart, nice guy.

You will find an AWESOME woman - I don't doubt it one bit.

18. That's really great
I remember my mock congress in college. I didn't go until the 80's. You would not believe the stuff that was coming out of some of the 18 year olds' mouths at the time. One guy wanted to shoot criminals in the street, just shoot 'em on the spot.

:wow:

I should have known right then that this country was in trouble. I remember talking to my professor about it and he said not to worry. They'd swing left and balance out as they got older, just like our generation swung right. Like to see what he thinks of his theory now.

I've confused as to what this program is, just a class in your school or something else.

internship is one of the perks you get from living near DC, and the uhh model congress is just a simulation the school does.
