2. Edwards is a great man! He'd've been a great VP.
"I am very proud to say that I will be joining UNC to launch its new Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity, which will examine innovative and practical ideas for moving more Americans out of poverty and into the middle class. The fact that millions in this country go to work every day and still live in poverty is wrong and unacceptable. This is personal to me, and I believe that it is one of the most important moral issues of our time."
God bless him! Gossip was about him becoming a law prof at UNC, but this is so much better.

6. OK, you'll never hear me hate on Edwards, ever.
Because
1. He voted against the FMA.
2. He consistently said that gays should have the same civil rights as straights, and said as much in the VP debate.
3. He absolutely smoked Cheney in the VP debate, that was fun to watch.
4.He is sexy, but he is a great family man.

8. No, no hating on a dem, but
I'm fricking angry with Joementum, the only reason I don't hate him is because is a good Jew who made it, but I wishing he wouldn't be literally kissing on Dubya. It's just sick. But faced with a decision between him and Dubya, I'd've voted for Joe if he was the nominee. Remember Joe is pro-choice and not anti-gay (?).

9. Yeah I know
He's not the worst dem in the senate though, I Think that honor now that the Zellout is gone is Senator Ben Nelson. Joementum voted against Ashcroft too to my surprise.

10. Good on Joe for voting against Asscroft.
Ben Nelson is a Zellout, too? What he'd do? I'm so out of it...

11. He's just very conservative
He didnt endorse Bush but he's very conservative but to be honest in the quest for a democratic majority, I'll take a dem from Nebraska though I personally admire Chuck Hagel more than I do Nelson.

16. Did anybody see this?
It was awesome. Very pot-luckish flavor to the dinner. Lots of local pols. Edwards got a rousing intro and mentioned that Elizabeth is doing well and is in recovery.

He then gave one of those absolutely wonderful speechs. (Gawd that man can talk the birds out of the trees.) Sigh! Democratic heaven. :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

Hmmm, what was I saying? Oh yeah, John Edwards, who, by the way, had gone and gotten younger looking since the campaign (there is a Dorian Gray pic somewhere in a closet in NC, there has to be) got up and talked about not abandoning people, about giving Americans hope and opportunity and jobs and :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: (Stop it. Tell the people what he said.) Ahm, it was a great speech.

Sigh! I like Democratic heaven. It's such a nice place to visit. Everybody is sweet and worries aobut their neighbors and wants to share the burden and encourage everyone else to do well. Sigh! Why do we have to be in Rethug hell?
