The "reporter" seems to be a bit amazed to find Ted Kennedy to be a human being. I mean, how many evil liberals play with their dogs?

Still funny to look at.

Our new pup is the same kind of dog, and let me tell you - if he didn't take him out for several runs a day, that dog would have enough energy to dismantle the Capitol brick by brick.

They are HIGH ENERGY.

2. Thanks -- I'll keep that in mind. My child still has no clue what I'm

doing, and I'm having a tough time explaining what "government" is or even a "senator". President is easier -- she gets that a little more.

Looks like a funny book!

The funniest part to me was when the reporter said it had "no redeeming value whatsoever." One of the things we learn as novelists is that you need to give your hero a "pat the dog" moment--something showing him as a sweet, kind guy that would never kick puppies or harm children. This reporter inadvertently gave liberal ol' Ted Kennedy a TERRIFIC and literal "pat the dog" moment for an entire audience of quite conservative, Kennedy-disdaining fundies. I think that's more redeeming value than the reporter was giving himself credit for. :)
